How to make a foam eye mask:
Superheroes are always popular with children. Thanks to www.cutfoam.co.uk the foam suppliers, these masks are so simple to make and very comfortable to wear.  Try to copy specific superhero masks or invent your own. Add sequins or feathers for extra decoration if you wish.

You will need:
Foam, sheets, Elastic, Wooden skewer, Scissors, Glue

Step 1: Cut a basic eye mask shape from a sheet of paper. Fold it in half to check that it is symmetrical.
Step 2 : Use the paper template to draw the shape onto your foam sheet.
Step 3: Cut out your mask shape.
Step 4: Cut out the shapes shown from orange and yellow foam.
Step 5: Glue the shapes onto your mask as shown.
Step 6: Use the wooden skewer to make a hole in each side of the mask.
Step 7: Cut a length of elastic, push the ends through the holes and tie a knot in each end.

We have shown just two possible designs but there are endless possibilities. Cut out the blank mask shapes and let the children decorate their own. This could be a really fun craft activity for a party. They are also so cheap to make that they could be a great gift for party bags.
